Registering and transferring domains
How to ask support to register or transfer a domain, and what to prepare before a transfer.

BLACKBOX registers and transfers domains on request, through support. The “Servicii de domenii și certificate” (Domain and certificate services) page (blackbox.md/domains, menu “Domenii” (Domains) → “Înregistrare domeniu” (Domain registration)) and the “Transferați-vă domeniile la BLACKBOX” (Transfer your domains to BLACKBOX) page (blackbox.md/domains/transfer, “Domenii” → “Transfer domeniu” (Domain transfer)) are for information only: the website has no domain search, no price list and no registration or transfer form.
The blackbox.md website is available in Romanian and Russian; this article quotes the Romanian labels with their English meaning.
Available to: anyone, by email or phone; support tickets only for blackbox.md account holders.
Note The “Inițiază transfer (login)” (Start transfer (log in)) button on the transfer page only opens the sign-in page, and after you sign in you land in “Contul meu” (My account). The transfer form that the page mentions is not available in your account or in the panel: send your request through support, as described below.
How to send your request
- Sign in and open “Contul meu” (My account) → “Ajutor și suport” (Help and support) → “Tichet nou” (New ticket). If you don't have an account, write to support@blackbox.md, or call or message us on WhatsApp at +373 78 003948, Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 (Moldova time).
- In “Subiect” (Subject), write the operation and the domain, for example “Domain transfer: example.com”.
- You can leave the “Server (opțional)” (Server (optional)) field empty.
- In “Descrieți problema” (Describe the problem), enter the details from the table below, then click “Trimite tichetul” (Send ticket).
- The team sends you a quote with the price, the terms and the payment method. The reply appears on the ticket page and is also sent to you by email.

What to include in your request

Depending on the extension, the team may ask you for more details. The “Servicii de domenii și certificate” (Domain and certificate services) page lists the .md, .com, .net, .org and .eu extensions; for any other extension, ask in the same request. The team confirms in its reply whether a new domain is available.
Before a transfer: checklist
Check these conditions with your current registrar before you send your request:

| The domain is unlocked | Remove the transfer lock (the clientTransferProhibited status) in your current registrar's control panel. |
| You have the EPP code | Ask your current registrar for the authorization code (EPP code / auth code). The code confirms that you authorize the transfer. |
| The domain is at least 60 days old | A domain registered less than 60 days ago usually can't be transferred (the ICANN rule for generic extensions: .com, .net, .org). |
| You can access the administrative contact's email | You are the domain's administrative contact (or you have their consent), and you can access that contact's email address. |
| The domain has not expired | An expired domain must first be renewed with your current registrar (sometimes with a restoration fee, “redemption”), and only then transferred. |
Treat the EPP code like a password: send it only in your support ticket or to support@blackbox.md.
Tip If the domain's DNS zone (the A, MX and other records) is hosted with your current registrar, write down all the records before the transfer, and tell us in your request where your DNS is hosted. If the DNS servers (NS) stay the same, your website and email keep working during the transfer.
How the transfer works
- Send your request with the EPP code, once you have checked all the conditions above.
- The team starts the transfer.
- If you receive an email asking you to confirm the transfer (from BLACKBOX or from the registry), confirm it.
- Wait for the transfer to complete: the team lets you know when the domain has moved to BLACKBOX.
Indicative durations given on the transfer page:

These durations are not guaranteed and depend on your current registrar and on the registry.
Price and terms
There is no domain price list on the website or in your account. You receive the price, the registration period and the payment method for your domains in the team's quote.
Important Under clause 7.4 of the Terms and Conditions, domain registrations and renewals already completed at the registry are not refunded. Check the domain name and the holder's details before you accept the quote. Details: Order cancellation and refunds.
Your rights over the domain
Section 4, “Drepturile deținătorilor de domenii” (Rights of domain holders), of the Terms and Conditions states that:
- BLACKBOX respects the domain holders' rights set by ICANN (Registrants' Rights and Responsibilities);
- the domain remains your property for the whole registration period;
- at your request, BLACKBOX provides the EPP code (auth code) for a transfer to another registrar, within the time limits set by the registry.

After activation: point the domain to your server
Once the domain is active, point it to your server with a DNS record of type A: How to point your domain to the server. If the DNS zone is in Cloudflare or GoDaddy, you can also manage it from the app.blackbox.md panel: Connecting Cloudflare or GoDaddy on the DNS page. For HTTPS: SSL certificates: free (Let's Encrypt) and commercial.
Frequently asked questions
Can I check on the website whether a domain is available? No, the website has no domain search. Write the names you want in your request, and add a few backup options if you like.
My domain is with another registrar. Do I have to transfer it to use it with my BLACKBOX server? No. It is enough to point it to your server's IP address in DNS: How to point your domain to the server. A transfer only changes the registrar.
Where can I see my domains and their expiry dates? Neither “Contul meu” (My account) nor the panel has a list of the domains registered through BLACKBOX. Ask support for their status and expiry date.
How do I move a domain from BLACKBOX to another registrar? Ask for the EPP code in a support ticket or at support@blackbox.md. You receive it within the time limits set by the registry.
