Placing an order step by step
From the “Comandă” (Order) button to the payment page: the steps, the details you need and what happens after your order is created.

You order a server on blackbox.md with the “Comandă” (Order) button on a plan card. This opens the order page (blackbox.md/checkout/plan/…, for example /checkout/plan/vm-iops1-m for Standard M), which takes you through a few short steps, creates the order and sends you to the payment page (blackbox.md/checkout/order/…). You can then find the order in “Contul meu” (My account) → “Comenzi” (Orders).
Available to: any customer signed in to blackbox.md. If you are not signed in, the website first asks you to sign in or create an account.
The blackbox.md website is available in Romanian and Russian; this article quotes the Romanian labels with their English meaning.
Before you order
Important The order page has no contact form. The name, email and phone number from “Contul meu” (My account) → “Profil” (Profile) are copied into the order automatically; if the name is missing, the order shows your email address. Fill in “Nume” (Name) and “Telefon” (Phone) before you order: My profile: name, phone number and email.
Optionally, prepare these in advance:
- a billing profile, if the invoice must carry a company's details or your personal details: Billing details for companies and individuals;
- an SSH key saved in your account: SSH keys in your account (blackbox.md).
You can also add them while you order, but then you have to reload the order page for them to appear in the list.
Step 1. Choose a plan
- Find the plan:
- VPS plans: the “Planuri VPS” (VPS plans) button in the site header (
blackbox.md/servers/plans); - “VPS hosting 1”, “VPS hosting 2”, “VPS hosting 3” and the Light, Premium and Storage dedicated servers: on the website's home page.

- Click “Comandă” (Order) on the plan card.
- If you are not signed in, the “Autentificare” (Sign in) page opens. Sign in with your email and password, with Google or GitLab, or click “Înregistrați-vă” (Sign up) to create a new account. After you sign in or sign up, you return to the order page automatically.
The “Autentificare” page opens in Romanian even if you started from the Russian version of the website; after you sign in, you return to the order in Russian.
Step 2. Go through the order steps
The steps depend on the plan:

“Sistem de operare” (VPS plans only)
- Choose the system: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (selected by default), Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Debian 12, Debian 11, CentOS Stream 9 or AlmaLinux 9.
- Click “Continuă” (Continue).
How they differ: Available operating systems.
“Date de facturare”
The step shows the text “Alegeți un profil salvat (companie sau date personale) — va fi folosit pe factură. Puteți omite acest pas.” (Choose a saved profile (company or personal details); it will be used on the invoice. You can skip this step.)
- Choose the profile that should appear on the invoice. The profile set as your default is already selected.
- If you don't need any details on the invoice, choose “Fără date de facturare” (No billing details).
- Click “Continuă” if you chose a profile, or “Continuă fără date de facturare” (Continue without billing details) if you did not.
The “Gestionează datele de facturare →” (Manage billing details →) link opens the “Date de facturare” page in a new tab. A profile you add there appears in the list only after you reload the order page. After the reload, the steps start again from the first one; the order has not been created yet.
“Cheie SSH pentru server”
- Tick one or more keys under “Chei salvate” (Saved keys), or paste a public key into the “Sau lipiți o cheie publică SSH” (Or paste a public SSH key) field.
- Click “Continuă”. If you are not using a key, click “Continuă fără cheie” (Continue without a key): your root password then comes in the activation email.
When you attach a key, the “Dezactivează autentificarea prin parolă (doar cheie SSH)” (Disable password authentication (SSH key only)) box is ticked automatically. Details, limits and errors: The SSH key at order time and “key-only” servers.
Step 3. Your order is created
After the last step, the page shows the plan name, the monthly price and the message “Se plasează comanda…” (Placing your order…). For “VPS hosting” and dedicated servers, if the “Date de facturare” (Billing details) and “Cheie SSH pentru server” (SSH key for the server) steps do not appear, the order is placed as soon as the page opens, with the same message.

The confirmation email has the same text for every order: “Am primit comanda dumneavoastră și echipa BlackBox o va analiza în cel mai scurt timp.” (We have received your order, and the BlackBox team will review it as soon as possible.) and “Vă vom contacta în curând pentru detalii suplimentare.” (We will contact you soon for further details.) The email does not confirm payment: the server is not created until you pay for the order. After payment:
- VPS plans: you don't need to wait to be contacted; the server is created automatically, usually within a few minutes after the payment is confirmed;
- “VPS hosting”: the server is created the same way, and the team may contact you for details;
- dedicated servers: the team prepares them manually and contacts you.

Warning Do not reload the page while “Se plasează comanda…” is shown, and do not click “Comandă” (Order) again for an order you have already created. Each pass through the steps creates a new order, so you end up with duplicates with the “Nou” status. Pay for an existing order from “Comenzi” → “Achită comanda” (Pay for the order), and cancel the duplicates with “Anulează comanda” (Cancel the order).
Step 4. Pay for the order

Steps for each method: Paying by card (Paynet) and Paying for an order from your balance. After payment, the status changes to “În lucru” (In progress): After payment: server activation and emails.
Note The payment page may open in Romanian even if you ordered from the Russian version of the website. Change the language with the “RO / RU” switcher in the header; on narrow phone screens the switcher is missing, so add
/ruafterblackbox.mdin the address bar. The “Comandă BBX-…” title stays in Romanian in both languages.
Paying later or canceling
An unpaid order stays in “Contul meu” (My account) → “Comenzi” (Orders) with the “Nou” (New) status. The buttons in the order row are icons: on a computer, their name appears when you hover over them; on a phone, you find them in the three-dot menu (⋮, “Mai multe acțiuni” (More actions)).
- To pay for it: click “Achită comanda” (Pay for the order) in the order row. The same payment page opens.
- To cancel it: click “Anulează comanda” (Cancel the order), then “Da, anulează” (Yes, cancel) in the “Anulați comanda?” (Cancel the order?) window. The status changes to “Anulat” (Canceled). The order was not paid, so there is nothing to refund.

Limits and what you don't choose when ordering

If an error appears
If the order cannot be created, the “Eroare la plasarea comenzii” (Error placing the order) card appears with a message and two buttons: “Încearcă din nou” (Try again), which repeats the order with the same choices, and “Înapoi la prețuri” (Back to pricing), which opens the website's home page. What each message means: Errors when placing an order and what they mean.
Frequently asked questions
The confirmation email says “Vă vom contacta în curând” (We will contact you soon). Do I have to wait? Not if you ordered a VPS plan: the email has the same text for every order and does not confirm payment. Pay for the order, and the server is created automatically, usually within a few minutes after the payment is confirmed; the “Plată confirmată” (Payment confirmed) email, with the sentence “Vom continua cu procesarea comenzii dumneavoastră în cel mai scurt timp.” (We will continue processing your order as soon as possible.), does not ask anything of you either. The team contacts you about dedicated servers and may contact you for details about “VPS hosting”.
Do I need a confirmed email address to place an order? No. You can order and pay without a confirmed email address. However, you need to confirm it to open the app.blackbox.md panel, where you manage your server, from your account: Verifying your email address.
Can I order through an AI assistant? Yes. An assistant connected through MCP can create orders and pay for them from your balance: Orders, payments, cancellations and upgrades via AI.
I have an old link to the configurator or to a plan that has been withdrawn. What do I do? The configurator has been replaced by fixed plans. Old links lead to the “Planuri VPS” (VPS plans) page, where you choose a current plan and click “Comandă” (Order).
