Prices, currency and billing period
How prices are calculated and shown in MDL, the monthly period paid in advance, VAT, server location and discounts available on request.

BLACKBOX prices are shown on the plan cards on blackbox.md: on the “Planuri VPS” (VPS plans) page (blackbox.md/servers/plans, the “Planuri VPS” button in the top bar) and on the home page, where you also find the “VPS hosting” plans and dedicated servers. This article explains which currency you pay in and for what period, how the order amount is set, and where you can find it after you pay.
Available to: anyone can view the prices; ordering and paying are available to the holder of a blackbox.md account who is signed in.
The blackbox.md website is available in Romanian and Russian; this article quotes the Romanian labels with their English meaning.
How prices are shown
All prices are in Moldovan lei (MDL), per month, in whole amounts, for example “578 MDL/lună” (578 MDL/month) for Standard M. For an order placed on the website, the price on the card is exactly the order total and the amount on the payment page.

If an information page on the website shows a different price than the plan card, the price on the card applies: that is the price your order is created with. For configurations outside these plans, the price is set in an individual offer; see Products and configurations available on request.
The plan price does not include add-on services. You can't choose them when you order on the website; you request them through support. See Add-on services for your server.
Currency: MDL
- Card payments (Visa, Mastercard) through Paynet are made in MDL. If your card is in another currency, the bank that issued it converts the amount automatically, at its own exchange rate.
- Your account balance and your invoices are also in MDL.
- To pay by bank transfer in EUR or USD, first write to us at support@blackbox.md to receive the account details for that currency. See Paying by bank transfer and BLACKBOX bank details.
Billing period: monthly, in advance
Services are paid monthly, in advance. An order on the website is always for one month; you can't choose a different period.

There is no automatic recurring charge to your card, and your card details are not stored: you enter them on the Paynet page each time you pay. Optionally, you can turn on automatic payment of invoices from your balance (the “Reîncărcare automată” (Automatic top-up) switch on the “Sold” (Balance) page). It uses only money that is already in your balance and does not charge your card. Details: Automatic payment of invoices from your balance.
Tip To avoid missing a due date, turn on automatic payment and keep at least the monthly price of your servers in your balance.
How the order amount is calculated
The amount is calculated by the BLACKBOX server from the current price list, not by your browser. The price you saw is sent only for comparison: if it differs from the current price, the order is not created. This way, you can't pay an amount other than the one shown.
If the price changed after you opened the page, you see the “Eroare la plasarea comenzii” (Error placing the order) screen with this message in English: “Order total does not match current pricing. Please refresh and try again.” The order was not created, and you have not paid anything.
- Reload the page in your browser (the F5 key or the reload button) and go through the order steps again. Don't use “Încearcă din nou” (Try again): this button resends the old price, and you get the same error.
- If the error happens again, reopen the plan page (“Planuri VPS” (VPS plans) or the home page), check the price on the card and click “Comandă” (Order).
- If the message still appears, write to us and tell us which plan you chose.

VAT and tax questions
On the payment page, under the amount, you see the note “TVA inclus” (VAT included). For tax questions about your invoice (for example, about VAT or the details on the invoice), write to us at support@blackbox.md and include the order or invoice number. To have the invoice issued with your company's details, fill them in before you order: Billing details for companies and individuals.
Server location
Important Online orders do not include a choice of data center. If you have requirements about where your server or your data is located, write to us before you place your order.
Discounts
No discount is applied automatically, and there is no promo code field when you order. Individual terms are granted on request, through support:
- Long-term payment (for example, for a year): the terms are agreed individually when the invoice is issued.
- Students and registered non-profit organizations: special terms for VPS. Send your request together with supporting documents.

Frequently asked questions
Will my card be charged automatically next month? No. BLACKBOX does not keep your card details and does not make recurring charges. The following months are paid based on an invoice; they are paid from your balance automatically only if you turned on automatic payment.
Why did my bank charge me in a different currency? Payment is made in MDL. If your card is in EUR, USD or another currency, your bank does the conversion, at its own rate. For details about the rate, ask your bank.
Can I pay for a year up front? When you order, you can pay for one month only. To pay for a longer period, write to us: the terms are individual.
Is there a free trial? No: every order is paid in advance, for one month. If you change your mind, within the first 24 hours after activation you can click “Anulează comanda” (Cancel the order) (“Contul meu” (My account) → “Comenzi” (Orders)): the full amount you paid goes back to your balance, and the server is permanently deleted, with all its data. The exact amount appears in the cancellation dialog before you confirm; details in Order cancellation and refunds.
Can the amount of the monthly invoice change? The monthly invoice is issued at your server's monthly price. After an upgrade, the price of the new plan applies.
