Language of the website, the panel and emails
How to change the language on blackbox.md and in the panel, what the email language depends on, and which texts stay in Romanian or English.
On this page
The language is set separately for the website, for the panel and for emails. On the blackbox.md website, including your account (“Contul meu”, My account), you choose it with the “RO / RU” links in the header; in the app.blackbox.md panel, with the “EN”, “RO”, “RU” buttons in the top bar; and the text of emails follows your account language. Below you'll find how to change the language in each place and which texts stay in a single language.
Available to: any visitor to blackbox.md; the panel language and the email language concern the holder of a blackbox.md account.
The blackbox.md website is available in Romanian and Russian; this article quotes the Romanian labels with their English meaning.
| Where | Languages | How to choose | Is the choice remembered? |
|---|---|---|---|
| The blackbox.md website and “Contul meu” (My account) | Romanian, Russian | “RO / RU” in the header, or the page address | No. The blackbox.md address always opens in Romanian. |
| The app.blackbox.md panel | English, Romanian, Russian | “EN”, “RO”, “RU” in the top bar or on the sign-in page | Yes, for one year, in the same browser. Each time you enter the panel from blackbox.md, it takes the website's language. |
| Automatic emails | Romanian, Russian; a few only in Romanian or in English | Not chosen directly: they follow your account language | Yes, in your account. |
Language of the blackbox.md website
- The Romanian version has addresses without a prefix (
blackbox.md/account), and the Russian version has the/ruprefix (blackbox.md/ru/account). - The website does not take the language from your browser settings and does not remember your choice: the
blackbox.mdaddress always opens the Romanian version. To go straight to Russian, useblackbox.md/ru; you can save it as a bookmark. - The website, “Contul meu” (My account) and the legal pages have no English version.
How to change the language
- On the right side of the header, next to the theme button, find “RO / RU”.
- Click “RU” for Russian or “RO” for Romanian.
- The same page opens in the language you chose. You stay signed in.
On a phone
On narrow screens, for example on a phone held upright, “RO / RU” does not appear in the header or in the website menus. You have two options:
- change the page address: for Russian, add
/ruright afterblackbox.md(for exampleblackbox.md/ru/account); for Romanian, delete/ru; - turn your phone sideways: on most phones, “RO / RU” then appears in the header.
Pages that open in Romanian
Some pages the website sends you to automatically open in Romanian, even if you were using the Russian version:
- the “Autentificare” (Sign in) page you reach when a page requires an account, for example after you click “Comandă” (Order);
- the account page that opens after you sign in or sign up;
- the “Autentificare” page that opens after “Deconectare” (Sign out);
- the page you see after signing in with Google or GitLab;
- the payment page that opens after you place an order;
- the page you return to from Paynet;
- pages opened from links in emails.
Switch the language with “RU” (on a phone, through the page address): you stay on the same page.
Text that stays in Romanian on the Russian version
| Where | What stays in Romanian |
|---|---|
| The order payment page | the payment title, for example “Comandă BBX-2026-000123” (Order BBX-2026-000123) |
| “Sold” (Balance) → “Istoricul operațiunilor” (Transaction history), “Descriere” (Description) column | “Alimentare cont BLACKBOX” (BLACKBOX account top-up), “Comandă BBX-…” (Order BBX-…), “Factură …” (Invoice …), “Rambursare comandă BBX-…” (Order refund BBX-…), “Upgrade server” (Server upgrade), “Anulare upgrade server” (Server upgrade cancellation) |
| Emails | the subjects (see the “Email language” section below) |
On both versions, a few error messages appear in English, for example “Too many requests” or “Order total does not match current pricing. Please refresh and try again.” They are explained in Errors when placing an order and what they mean.
The legal pages
“Termeni și condiții” (Terms and conditions), “Politica de confidențialitate” (Privacy policy) and “Acord privind prelucrarea datelor (DPA)” (Data processing agreement) exist in Romanian and Russian; they have no English version.
Note The Romanian text is legally binding. The Russian version is a translation provided for convenience; the Russian pages say so under the title.
Language of the app.blackbox.md panel
The panel has three languages: English, Romanian and Russian. The “EN”, “RO”, “RU” buttons are in the panel's top bar, including on a phone, and on the sign-in page app.blackbox.md/login.
- Click “EN”, “RO” or “RU”. The active button is highlighted.
- The panel's text changes immediately, without reloading the page.
- Your choice is kept in this browser for one year.
- Each time you enter the panel from blackbox.md, through “Panou de administrare” (Admin panel), “Deschide panoul” (Open the panel) or “Gestionează în app.blackbox.md” (Manage in app.blackbox.md), the panel takes the website's language again: Romanian from the Romanian version, Russian from the Russian version. If you want English, click “EN” after each entry.
- If you open
app.blackbox.mddirectly in a browser where the panel does not have a saved language yet, the sign-in page appears in English. If you don't click any language button, the panel appears in Romanian after you sign in. - When the panel is in Russian, “← blackbox.md” and the balance indicator open the Russian version of the website; when it is in Romanian or English, they open the Romanian version.
The rest of the top bar: Panel interface: menu, top bar and language.
Some parts of the panel stay in English whatever language you choose: the password and 2FA reset pages, the buttons under “Sign in with” and the page that follows signing in with GitLab or Google, the server table on “Overview” and the report opened with “View”, the “403 — Access denied” page, the server status on “My Servers” (for example active), and the browser tab title, “BlackBox Server Panel” (on most pages). The articles quote them in English, exactly as they appear.
Some panel errors appear as English sentences or as technical codes, for example reset_failed. They are explained in Panel error messages and what they mean.
Email language
The email text
The text of emails arrives in your account language: Romanian or Russian. Your account language becomes Russian when you:
- sign up with email and password on the Russian version (
blackbox.md/ru/register); - sign in with email and password on the Russian version (
blackbox.md/ru/login); - open the panel for the first time from the Russian version of the website.
In all other cases, the text arrives in Romanian. Signing up and signing in with Google or GitLab do not change your account language.
You cannot change the language on “Profilul meu” (My profile), and signing in on the Romanian version does not switch it back to Romanian. To receive emails in Romanian again, open a support ticket or write to support@blackbox.md: How to contact BLACKBOX support.
What stays in the same language for everyone
| Emails | Subject | Text |
|---|---|---|
| Order, payment, server ready, upgrade, cancellation, balance, address verification, account deletion | in Romanian, for example “Plată confirmată — BBX-…” (Payment confirmed — BBX-…) | in your account language |
| Support ticket reply | “[Ticket #N] …” | Romanian only |
| Monitoring alert | “[BlackBox] Alertă — …” ([BlackBox] Alert — …) | Romanian only |
| Server deletion | “Server termination scheduled — …”, “Server deleted — …” | in English for Romanian-language accounts, in Russian for Russian-language accounts |
| Invitation from the BLACKBOX team | “You've been invited to BlackBox” | in English |
| Password or 2FA reset from the panel | “Reset your BlackBox password”, “Reset your BlackBox 2FA” | in English |

The help center and support
- Every article in the help center exists in Romanian, Russian and English, with the same content. The articles quote the interface in the article's language: the English articles quote the panel's English labels, so if you use the panel in Romanian or Russian, switch it to “EN” so the names match the ones in the articles. The website has no English version, so its labels are quoted in Romanian with their English meaning. Details: How to use the help center.
- The languages we can reply in: How to contact BLACKBOX support.
