Dedicated servers

A dedicated server is a physical server reserved for you alone: its processor, memory and disks are not shared with other customers. The three configurations are on the blackbox.md home page, in the “Servere dedicate” (Dedicated servers) section (blackbox.md/#pricing-dedicated), and you order one with the “Comandă” (Order) button on its card. Unlike VPS plans, dedicated servers are prepared manually by our team.

The blackbox.md website is available in Romanian and Russian; this article quotes the Romanian labels with their English meaning.

Configurations and prices

The “Servere dedicate” (Dedicated servers) section has three cards; the line above the section title reads “Performanță maximă” (Maximum performance). Prices are in MDL per month and are paid in advance.

On the cards, traffic is written in English: “10 TB Traffic” and “Unlim Traffic”. The Storage plan has 12 HDDs of 4 TB each and an SSD cache. For the currency and the payment period, see Prices, currency and billing period.

How to order a dedicated server

1. Open blackbox.md, scroll down to the “Servere dedicate” (Dedicated servers) section and click “Comandă” (Order) on the card you want. The order page opens: blackbox.md/checkout/plan/dedicated-light, dedicated-premium or dedicated-storage.
2. If you are not signed in, the sign-in page opens. After you sign in or sign up, you are taken back to your order automatically.
3. At the “Date de facturare” (Billing details) step, choose the saved profile (company or personal details) that will appear on the invoice and click “Continuă” (Continue). Your default profile, if you have one, is already selected. If you do not want any details on the invoice, choose “Fără date de facturare” (No billing details) and click “Continuă fără date de facturare” (Continue without billing details).
4. At the “Cheie SSH pentru server” (SSH key for the server) step, choose a saved key or paste a public SSH key and click “Continuă”. If you do not want to attach a key, click “Continuă fără cheie” (Continue without a key). The key is saved with the order; you and the team agree on the final way to access your dedicated server.
5. The order is created (you see the message “Se plasează comanda…” (Placing your order…)) and the payment page opens.

There is no “Sistem de operare” (Operating system) step when you order a dedicated server: you agree on the operating system with the team after you order. If steps 3 and 4 do not appear, the order is created as soon as the page opens. Do not reload the page while you see “Se plasează comanda…”: you could create a duplicate order. If you use the website in Russian, the sign-in page and the payment page may open in Romanian.

What you get:

• your order receives a number in the form BBX-YYYY-NNNNNN and the status “Nou” (New) in “Comenzi” (Orders);
• you receive the email “Am primit solicitarea dumneavoastră — BBX-…” (We have received your request — BBX-…); its “Serviciu” (Service) line reads, for example, “dedicated — Premium”.

How to pay

On the payment page, check the box “Am citit și accept Termenii și Condițiile și Politica de Confidențialitate” (I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy), then choose a method:

You can also pay later: “Contul meu” (My account) → “Comenzi” (Orders) → “Achită comanda” (Pay for the order).

How the server is prepared

Important Dedicated servers are not activated automatically after payment. The team prepares them manually, on dedicated hardware, and contacts you.

• After payment, the order moves to the “În lucru” (In progress) status, and you receive the email “Plată confirmată — BBX-…” (Payment confirmed — BBX-…) with the PDF invoice attached.
• The team contacts you at the email address or phone number in the order to agree with you on the operating system, the delivery time and the access details.

Tip Fill in your name and phone number under “Contul meu” (My account) → “Profil” (Profile) before you order. The order page has no contact form: your name, email and phone number are taken from your profile. See My profile: name, phone number and email.

Changes after delivery

The automatic features of the app.blackbox.md panel are designed for VPS servers. For example, “Upgrade server” does not apply to dedicated servers. Any change to the configuration of a dedicated server is made through support: write to us what you want to change and include your order number.

Custom configurations and multiple servers

If you need hardware other than what the three cards offer, or several servers, do not place the order online. Send us your requirements:

• the processor, memory, disks and traffic you need;
• the operating system;
• the number of servers;
• your company details for the invoice, if applicable.

Monthly payment and cancellation

Dedicated servers follow the same payment and cancellation rules as all other orders: Accepted payment methods, Monthly renewal and paying on time, Order cancellation and refunds.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to prepare a dedicated server? The server is prepared manually, so there is no automatic activation time. The team tells you the delivery time; if no one has contacted you, write to us with your order number.

Can I choose the data center? The online order does not include a choice of location. If you have location requirements, write to us before you order.

When should I choose a VPS instead of a dedicated server? A VPS is created automatically, usually within a few minutes after the payment is confirmed. You choose the operating system when you order, and you upgrade it from the panel. A dedicated server gives you an entire physical server, but it is prepared manually. See VPS plans: how to choose.
